Cadres des collèges anglophones spécialement visés
L’analyse de la composition actuelle du conseil d’administration démontre que la représentativité est relativement optimale quant à l’âge, l’ancienneté comme membre de l’ACCQ, la taille des collèges et la représentation régionale. Elle est cependant déficiente quant à la langue du cégep puisqu’aucun collège anglophone n’est représenté.
Dans ce contexte, le conseil d’administration lance une invitation particulière aux membres des collèges anglophones qui aimeraient s’impliquer. Le tout en conformité avec l’article 3.04 du Règlement sur les élections et les nominations qui prévoit :
La nomination de l’administrateur complémentaire se fait par le conseil d’administration et à la suite d’un appel public de candidatures. Cet appel fait état du profil recherché afin qu’une meilleure représentation soit assurée au regard du profil des administrateurs élus. Son mandat est de deux (2) ans et il peut être reconduit jusqu’à concurrence de deux (2) mandats supplémentaires, et ce, dans la mesure où son caractère représentatif le justifie. Cette nomination se fait dans les quatre-vingt-dix (90) jours suivants l’assemblée générale annuelle des années impaires.
Le mandat de la personne nommée sera toutefois d’un an, puisque cette nomination se fait pour deux ans, mais après l’assemblée générale des années impaires. À titre d’information supplémentaire, veuillez noter que toutes les dépenses des administrateurs sont remboursées et que des jetons de présence sont octroyés pour chaque rencontre. Le conseil d'administration se réunit normalement six (6) fois par année.
Processus de mise en candidature
Les personnes intéressées sont invitées à remplir le formulaire de présentation – Candidature pour le poste d’administrateur complémentaire. Celui-ci doit être transmis au président-directeur général, M. Charles Simard, par courriel, à l’adresse suivante : csimard@accq.qc.ca, et ce, au plus tard le 15 février 2019 à 16h. Le CA procédera ensuite à l’analyse des candidatures reçues et à la nomination de l’administrateur complémentaire lors de sa prochaine réunion.

Executives of English-language colleges specially targeted
An analysis of the current composition of the board of governors shows relatively optimal representativeness in terms of age, ACCQ membership seniority, college size, and regional representation. However, it is deficient as regards the language of the CEGEP since no English-language college is represented. In this context, the board of governors is extending a special invitation to members of English-language colleges who would like to get involved. All in accordance with section 3.04 of the Regulation pertaining to elections and appointments, which stipulates the following:
The supplemental board member is appointed by the board of governors following a public call for candidates that indicates the profile sought so that elected board members have a more representative profile. The term of office of the supplemental board member is two (2) years and can be extended for up to two (2) additional terms, insofar as the representative character of the position justifies such an extension. The supplemental board member is appointed within ninety (90) days following the annual general assembly of odd-numbered years.
The term of office of the person appointed will be one year, since this appointment is for two years, but after the general assembly held in odd-numbered years. As additional information, please note that all board members' expenses are reimbursed and attendance fees are paid for each meeting. The board of governors normally meets six (6) times a year.
Nomination process
Interested persons are invited to complete the presentation form - Application for the position of supplemental board member. It must be sent to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Charles Simard, by email at the following address: csimard@accq.qc.ca, no later than February 15, 2019 at 4 p.m. The Board will then analyze the applications received and appoint the supplemental board member at its next meeting.
